Location : Right at the heart of the Shoreditch Triangle, London (like the Bermuda Triangle but people don't disappear....errr...well we don't know of any!).
Background
You will have two or more years experience in technical back-end development of multimedia web sites, a good knowledge of PHP and Flash ActionScript and have a portfolio of work that you can show us.
What we are after...
Multichannel TV (and our sister company Stuff Multichannel) have been at the forefront of the online video market since 2006 and have developed our own unique interactive video technology - 'Intelligent Video' - which integrates front end Flash elements with streamed video and extensive PHP functionality.
It forms the heart of our client proposition, and we are after a freelancer to further develop this functionality, to build client interfaces and associated web applications, e.g. mobile versions, integration with e-commerce, etc.
Candidate profile
You will be a problem solver and be a team player which is a key element to us, and want to work in an ever growing and dynamic team that faces new challenges every day. The ability to be able to communicate technical vision and ideas is important. You would preferably live in London since we would want you to work in our studio not at home.
Skills
We require a good knowledge and experience of the following: -
- PHP 5 with an object oriented approach
- HTML, XHTML & CSS
- MySQL
- Flash Actionscript 3
- XML and other web service technologies
- Javascript (including libraries such as JQuery)
- AJAX
It would be desirable if you had experience and knowledge of: -
- Apache Server Set-up, maintenance and security/ intrusion detection
- Core Linux functionality
- Domain name service administration
- iPhone/iPad development
Experience
We will want to see a portfolio of your work that demonstrates applications such as: -
- User registration & secure access
- Content management
- Multimedia
- E-commerce enablement
- Social networking integration (i.e. blogs, forums, integration with Facebook/Twitter)
