Job title: Java Developer – Backend and Databases
Location - London
Overview:
The candidate will get the chance to work with one of the leaders in the Social Media and WOM space, creating a platform which distributes real-time content feeds for display at remote locations.
Principal responsibilities:
Be responsible for the development of a set of feed processing modules in core Java
Developing simple web scrapers where required
Skills/experience required:
Must have experience of core Java development ideally Sun Certified Java 1.6
Must have completed a large number of development projects from start to finish
Good knowledge of Mysql (5.5 prefered)
Extensive knowledge of web services (SOAP/XML/REST)
Experience with different APIs integration, Twitter, Facebook, RSS etc
Comfortable working in a linux environment
Educational qualifications required:
Ideally Degree Educated with a minimum of 3 years commercial experience.
Useful Skills/experience:
Use of Spring/ Hibernate to interact with MySQL
