Freelance or Contract Software Developer Required, Southampton area
A contract software developer is sought to help specify and to design a web application to be hosted on a cloud platform.
The application will ultimately need to handle significant numbers of users and large amounts of data. The initial site will be accessed from registered users only, but may be developed to include public commercial facilities at a later date. It will thus be designed to be highly scalable.
After initial specification and system design, working largely on his own initiative, the candidate will develop an initial version able to demonstrate the key features of the design. Following this first phase, he should be able to guide and lead other developers while still making a significant direct contribution to the full implementation.
The successful candidate should be experienced in Java and have a good working knowledge of PHP and LAMP.
Preference will be given to applicants having experience with wi-fi applications, dashboard design and data visualisation methods.
The initial phase of work is expected to be of around 3 month’s duration. Follow-on activities could continue for more than 12 months.
We will be looking to interview candidates and start the project at the earliest opportunity in the New Year.
If you would like to be considered for this project please send details of your relevant experience and rates you charge to brian.kett@2lulworth.com
