PHP Web Developer
contact
location Stanhope, Bishop Auckland
date posted 31/12/2010
Mr. Yoichi is a young software company based in a wonderful environment and is looking for its first employee.
Who are we?
We are a company which specializes itself in two sections:
1) CRM (Customer Relationship Management), as we have developed an application, targeted towards small to medium sized businesses.
2) Web development, as we deliver high quality software for every project we do.
Our main focus lies on the development of our CRM (web) application and try to make it the most *awesome* product for any SME.
Who are you?
------------
You are someone who is just beginning in the software development industry and has a passion for PHP, JavaScript, Dojo, JQuery, HTML, CSS, MySQL, PostgreSQL (preferred over MySQL) and you know what MVC is and how to use it. You are a generally a nice person and are enthusiastic person to work with. The ability to interact with clients effectively is a plus, but not a requirement. It is not a requirement to have a computer related education, as long as you can prove your skills in the above techniques.
It is also very important that you are able to find things out for yourself, and are able to work on your own; reporting daily on your activity.
What we provide
---------------
We are a vibrant and innovative company that will provide a great opportunity for any starting developer to develop their knowledge and shape the company’s future direction. We will provide a competitive salary (15000/20000 per annum) and a minimum of a half year contract, plus options for educating yourself.
Summary of the job:
- You will develop in PHP, JavaScript, Dojo, JQuery, HTML, CSS, MySQL, PostgreSQL (preferred over MySQL).
- We are using Zend Framework as our MVC implementation and you will be working with that most of the time.
- OOP is used everywhere in our own applications, and most of customer projects.
- Around 40% of the time you will be working on our own CRM application, building modules and solving bugs and on the other 60% you will be working on customer projects.
- You will be working for 40 hours per week in our office in Stanhope, with 25 holidays pro rata on top of standard public and bank holidays.
- The contract will initially be for 6 months, with the chance of being extended.
