Fed up with feeling like a tiny cog in a huge machine? Want to join a small company where you are guaranteed to be a key a part of the team from day one? If so, read on.
We are a multi award-winning marketing and software company with clients primarily in the online gaming industry. An opportunity has now arisen for a PHP Developer to join our team working from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
This is a great opportunity to join an extraordinary company that has maintained a growth rate of over 100% per year since inception.
As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for working on a cutting-edge eGaming platform.
Joining a growing team, you will be involved in a wide variety of development tasks. In addition to benefiting from a supportive and fun working environment, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of new skills.
To be considered for this position, you must have an IT-related degree and solid commercial experience in the following: PHP, MySQL, XML, JSON, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
You must also have experience of the following:
- Systems integration using Web Services and APIs
- Source control, ideally SVN or Mercurial
- Object Oriented design and development
As a PHP Developer, you must have excellent communication skills and an organised, proactive approach.
Whilst not essential, experience of developing social networking platforms, or knowledge of online gaming would be advantageous. Team leader experience or commercial exposure to the model-view-controller (MVC) architecture patterns would also be of benefit, as would a W3C PHP Developer Certificate or similar.
